Since March 2020, the cultural sector has gone through difficult times. The Covid-19 pandemic and its health consequences have had a profound effect on the sector. In the music industry, for example, many events such as concerts, festivals and tours have been cancelled or postponed. Venues were temporarily or, unfortunately, permanently closed. Artists also had to adapt to this particular context, which has significantly delayed the releases of songs and records. This is also the case for numerous music professionals whose activity has been negatively affected for many months.

And although the situation has been gradually improving since summer 2021, particularly with the resumption of public events, we are still far from a return to what we had before Covid 19. Faced with this observation, our music marketing agency has decided to highlight all the jobs in our cultural sector. Professions that we know well and that are part of our expertise. For this reason, we have chosen to show you the backstage of a press and music marketing agency through a web series entitled Backstage, available on our streaming platform.

Backstage is both the name of our web series and the streaming platform on which you can watch all the episodes. It is accessible for free and without registration in order to reach a large audience. We have also banned advertising or any buttons encouraging comments, sharing or likes, which, because of their abundance on other sites, interfere with the pleasure of learning and being entertained.

With this website and this web series, we really want to introduce you to the role of a press, communication and marketing agency in the music industry, by offering you a whole new experience. This allows us to show you our world from a different angle. Backstage is also a new adventure for us, which we are happy to share and experience with you. And by creating our own streaming platform, we can distribute our web series in our own way, according to our values and in line with our vision of culture.

A FIRST SEASON CO-PRODUCED
BY OUR AGENCY AND M MUSIC

For the shooting and production of our web series, streamed on our own platform, we have surrounded ourselves with experts. Thus, Season 1 of Backstage is proudly a co-production between our music marketing agency, Dooweet, and M Music, publisher and producer of the artist Max M. Regarding the actors, we called on Wilhem Mahtallah and Yael Dyens who, in each episode, alternate between humorous scenes and professional advice.

For this first season, which will be released in its entirety on 15 March 2022, six episodes have been produced. The first episode will be available for preview on our streaming platform on 15 February 2022. Each episode deals with a specific topic related to the launch of a musical project. You will discover the role of press officers and journalists, the usefulness of interviews and social networks to communicate on a project…

…and other secrets that we will be revealed during this first season of Backstage, that we hope you will enjoy and that will allow you to learn more about our industry and the amazing world of music.
