Biography

Born in Rennes, Joanna is a languorous French r’n’b pop singer.
She practiced piano and singing from a young age and started playing music in a band in high school. “Seduction” was her first single released in 2019, a heady anthem of burning desire between two young girls. Inspired by FKA Twigs, Sevdaliza and Kanye West, the young high school student studying cinema directed her own video clip, which did not go unnoticed by record companies. But Joanna decided to pursue her career on her own, releasing her first EP in 2020, entitled “Venus”, followed by her first album this year, called “Sérotonine”. Between explicit lyrics and brutally delicate poetry, the Rennes-based singer stands out with her suave voice punctuated by electronic, pop, trap and R&B beats. In this latest opus, a real musical drama, Joanna invites the listener into a story where the French variety only knows one form, the one she gives it, and where the chorus of past loves is only one voice, hers.
