In 2008, Sony Music Entertainment reacquired Bertelsmann\u2019s holdings in the Sony BMG Music Entertainment label. Sony BMG Music Entertainment thereby became Sony Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BMG label was recreated in 2009 by the Bertelsmann group, in order to focus on rights management (publishing). The new entity is now known as BMG Rights Management. Part music publisher part record label, BMG is positioning itself as a new type of music business for a new world. A new world which calls for transparent and fair agreements. A new world where supporting artists and writers is essential.
